2000 Leopard 38 | Morpheus

Located on the Gold Coast with Australian tax paid, Morpheus is an exceptional example of the Leopard 38 Owners Version designed by Robertson & Caine. Built in 2000 and extensively upgraded, Morpheus presents a turnkey opportunity for those seeking a proven, comfortable and efficient cruising catamaran.

The three-cabin owner’s layout offers outstanding comfort for liveaboard or extended cruising. Each queen cabin is light and airy, complemented by two electric heads and a bright saloon with panoramic windows and nearly two metres of headroom. The saloon seating converts to an additional double berth for guests, while the practical galley-up configuration keeps all essentials within easy reach. The galley features a Force 10 LPG stove and oven, microwave, gas alarm and upgraded 12V refrigeration.

Morpheus has undergone significant upgrades that set her apart. In 2022 she received twin Yanmar 39HP engines, each with just 695 hours. In 2025 her propulsion system was improved with Autostream folding props, enhancing efficiency and performance. She comfortably cruises at 6.5 knots and reaches up to 9 knots, consuming only 2.5 litres of diesel per hour.

Her rigging and sail wardrobe were renewed in 2025, featuring new stainless steel standing rigging and GC Sails Dacron main and headsails on a Geneo single-line furler. The electrical and power systems were professionally upgraded in 2023 to include 3 × 200Ah Victron LiFePO₄ house batteries with a Victron BMS, a 3000W inverter-charger, and 1170W of Jinko solar panels, supported by a 2000kVA portable generator. Electronics include Raymarine navigation, autopilot, instruments, Icom VHF with DSC, Kenwood stereo and a 12V TV.

On deck, Morpheus features a custom hard bimini with full clears, a Rocna 25kg anchor with 100m of new chain, Lofrans Tigress windlass and fresh/saltwater deck wash. She includes a brand-new Aurora 2.9m Hypalon tender with a Yamaha 9.9HP four-stroke outboard. Safety equipment comprises EPIRB, flares, life jackets, and manual and electric bilge pumps.

Last antifouled in January 2025, Morpheus has benefited from continuous care and upgrades.
